Conchita Espinosa Academy's mission to bring out the extraordinary in every child has become my mission as well. A strong, academic curriculum and an appreciation for the arts help develop a well-rounded person. Conchita believes in parents and teachers working together for the well being of the child. Although much of our world has changed, the essence of who we are remains the same. My philosophy has always been to put my students and their learning first. I want to give them opportunities to grow and succeed. I want them to love learning always. I want to give them tools to help them change the world. Textbooks, notebooks, pens, papers and markers are all tools to assist in teaching and learning. Technology is also a tool and as with the other tools, they are only as good as their users. This is a very exciting time for education. I feel like we are pioneers. I am excited about the possibilities for our kids. There is much available to them to give them knowledge, but ultimately to be able to put to use their greatest assets, their minds and hearts. My teaching style is much like my parenting style. My classroom and my home are open, comfortable, fair, flexible and fun. At home and at school, I want to continue to listen, learn, grow and be better so that I can help my kids. I believed in Conchita’s philosophy even before I was teacher here. I am very happy to be a part of this special place, and together, I believe we continue to make the world mejor, mejor, y mejor.
