TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Former public school teacher who worked in elementary schools and at the community college levels teaching health, wellness, and fitness. Current homeschooling teacher. Momma of a child with special needs (medical and developmental).

MY TEACHING STYLE

I focus on fun and family to improve fitness! As an avid reader and advocate for reading and writing, I love to incorporate core subject material into fitness activities. These activities will focus on including all abilities and levels, and offer some modifications for multiple age groups.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I helped implement a brand new health program at the elementary level that focused on lifelong fitness. I created all lesson plans and curriculum for that program, using the state standards as guidelines. Our program won a county-wide award.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Bachelor's in Exercise and Sport Science with Teaching Licensure Certified Personal Trainer (through American Council on Exercise)
