TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I currently teach Junior High Vocal Music: Choir and General Music. I'm the Assistant Director for the Lawrence Children's Choir and also teach private voice lessons (high school students, mostly.) I'm an alum of the Voice Care Network and have a Master's in Vocal Performance. I've taught singing at every level, including college, but find that there's something uniquely delightful (and challenging!) about working with Junior High-aged people!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love the pure creativity of teaching junior high music. I like collaborating with the kids and helping them discover their voices and develop their skills, and finding (or modifying, or creating) the material that will help each choir learn the most AND give excellent concerts.
