My name is Carolyn Hacker and I created Carolyn's Creative Classroom® in July of 2016 out of a love of teaching and sharing my resources. My store showcases resources for elementary students in a range of content areas including ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies. I have taught grades from PreK to 4th grade. Currently, I am out of the classroom after 15 years of teaching. I taught in a preschool while attending college. Then taught 5 years in a public school and 5 years in a Charter School. During the summer of 2016, my teacher BFF convinced me to post my creations onto TPT. And I love sharing all that I create with others. Nothing gets me more excited than knowing educators all over the world are using my resources in their classrooms. It’s a very humbling experience to know that I can touch so many lives.
Growing up I struggled with schooling and was bullied! I came from a broken family and I some AMAZING teachers that guided and supported me. They let my creativeness shine in the classroom and I have now carried over my experiences in education. My teaching style is hands-on. I like to get the kids up and moving. I also like to bring in my artistic creativeness into my lessons. Sensory Bins, games, lessons that contain movement are a must! I make sure to build relationships with my students first before the real instruction can begin!
