I am a Literacy Coach and former Reading Recovery/Comprehensive Intervention Model Intervention Specialist and have taught for over 19 years in grades K-5. Before becoming a Reading Recovery teacher I taught in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade classrooms. My passion is teaching children to read and teachers to teach literacy more effectively. Over the past 10 years I have presented numerous professional development workshops to teachers across my district and school.

I am a mother of two beautiful children and have been married to my husband for over 20 years now. Although he does not consider himself a patient person, my husband has been patiently watching me live the teaching lifestyle for all of those years. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, scrapbooking, crafting, baking, and of course....teaching.
