I taught Pre-K during my first year of teaching, and have been teaching 4th grade for 4 years. I am looking forward to next year as I will make a change to 1st Grade!
I enjoy using centers, small group, and whole group instruction. I am a nurturer by nature, and love to build relationships with my students and their families. My teaching style continues to evolve as today's classroom instruction changes with the incorporation of technology.
I received the GSTA's Teacher of Promise award and the Georgia Power New Teacher Assistant Grant in 2012. I was selected as the "Teacher of the Month" for a law firm in our county in 2014. I have presented at the NSTA National Conference on the topic of Worm composting in the classroom as well!
I hold a Bachelor's of Science in Early Childhood Education, and I am currently working on my Master's.
Of all my life accomplishments, I am most proud of being the wife of an amazing hubby and the mom of 2 cool high school boys!
