I have been teaching for ten years, everything from social studies, speech and debate, to reading and language arts and honors language arts. I am a tech coach for our school, we are fully STEM school with 1:1 iPads. I have been using iPads in the classroom for the last three years (year 1 I had iPads for 2-3 days a week, year 2 iPad pilot classroom, this year full 1:1 implementation). I am in year 2 of flipping my classroom, and I have even wrote a chapter in a book called Flipping 2.0! I have presented at the national level at AMLE (Association for Mid-Level Education) for the last two years, and I am currently on the Teacher Advisory Board on Sophia.org. Last year I also did contract work with an educational web and app development company called Clarity Innovations here in Portland Oregon. They do most of their work for Intel (so I have written content for the Intel for Education modules).

I blog, maintain websites, and love what I do. I also have a 5 year old daughter and adoring husband, how I am able to find the time for all of these things is beyond me, but I love what I do and seem to be really efficient with my time!
