Observation and classroom culture play a huge part in my teaching style. Working with students who must overcome emotional and behavioral disorders takes patience, care, kindness, the ability to be firm with rules, and the ability to think on your feet. Also, being true with your students. A student will learn best if they trust their teacher. The student can trust their teacher best if they can relate to their teacher as an individual.

I was a poor reader growing up. I was not invested in my learning because I thought other things were more important because they were more fun. Many of my lessons are designed to hook that type of student.
