This presentation goes over the different Non-Fiction text structures by showing questions they need to ask themselves as they read to determine which structure as well as an example of each structure using zombies as the topic.
Students are able to track their reading and comprehension with this bookmark. Each day they will complete how many pages they have read that day and write a brief summary of what was read. On Friday they are also able to improve dictionary skills
This allows students to assess and comprehend why the correct answer is the correct answer. This can also be changed to asking them why they chose the answer they chose, by providing text evidence, for their incorrect answers.
