TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I received my teaching credential in 2005 and got my own 2/3 class for the 2006-2007 school year in CA. In 2007 there were many budget cuts which led me to turn my part time job for Sylvan Learning Centers into a full time job as the Director of Education. I worked full time with Sylvan from 2007-2010. At this point I realized I needed a change and moved to MS to try to get back into the classroom. After substitute teaching for the remaining 7 months of that school year I was able to get a Kindergarten classroom for the following school year. I have now been in my K classroom for 3 years and I love every moment of it!!! I strive to try to create interesting activities that can help to promote learning in different ways for my students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

In a typical day my classroom involves whole group instruction, small group instruction, and center based learning.
