TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have 2 years of experience teaching 3rd grade (all subjects) and 6 years experience teaching 4th grade (all subjects). I am currently in my first year of being a Math Interventionist for my school for 4th and 5th grade.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style involves a lot of hands-on, discovery learning. I like to get students moving and interactive in whatever they are learning. If I can think of it, I will have students using their bodies or hands in some way to learn the material! When it comes to math, I love for students to "discover" the solution with their own thinking. I like to guide them, using their own schema, towards the solution. I like to get them THINKING about THEIR thinking.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I am the 2016-2017 Teacher of the Year for my school.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and my Masters in Instructional Accommodations.

I am currently engaged to be married in April 2017 and I am so excited! I live in Greer, SC and am excited about being able to help teachers with Math!
