I taught gifted and talented students for 30 years and retired in May of 2017, but not for long. I now teach fifth grade Language Arts and Social Studies for two hours a day. I also give ghost tours downtown for Historical Haunts in Memphis. I am an aspiring author who has been published in AppleSeeds Magazine, which is a part of the Cricket family and have many home written close read stories in my store.
I enjoy making and presenting lessons via Promethean Board flipcharts and have quite a few homemade charts, which I have transferred to power point. I always aim for higher level thinking and questioning.
My best awards come in the form of hugs and homemade cards telling me I'm great! I have a blog called Catch My Words, which you can visit at http://joycelansky.blogspot.com
