I've had the pleasure of teaching for 20 years! I started out on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona for 6 years, then taught one year as an English as a Foreign Language teacher in Toyama, Japan. Upon returning to the States, I taught ESL and 4th grade in Washington state before returning home to Wisconsin. I currently teach middle school, and LOVE it!
I'm passionate about making learning both fun and meaningful for my students of all ages. I believe in hands-on, minds-on learning, with an emphasis on collaboration for my students.

I earned my ESL endorsement through the University of Washington in Seattle in 2004, and then earned another one through Edgewood College in 2009. Additionally, I earned my MS in Education through Walden University with an emphasis in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, in 2008. I earned my BA in Education through the University of Platteville in 1993.
I am the proud single mom by choice to a little girl from Russia. She's been home for almost 3 years as of July, and my world has been completely transformed. I now look at everything through two lenses-teacher and parent.
