This is my first year 10th grade ELA (Regulars, Pre AP, and Pre AP Gifted and Talented) in the Southeast Houston area, which is a huge jump from my previous job as a 9th grade ELA (Regulars and Honors) teacher in somewhat rural south Louisiana. Before beginning my career 3 years ago, I graduated from LSU with a degree in English Secondary Education where I observed more than 100 hours in various classrooms and student taught 8th grade ELA.
I have been described as a very nontraditional and, at times, a witty teacher. I believe that while not everyone will need to analyze the iambic pentameter in Romeo and Juliet, their efforts to try are what matter and what will carry over into future endeavors.

2012 graduate of Louisiana State University.
In August, I married my high school sweetheart and moved with him to Houston. I somehow lucked out and landed a job at my current school in the middle of October thanks to a teacher who was moving out of state as well.
