I started my teaching career in the 2005-2006 school year teaching three different levels of United States History, including for English Language Learners. By the 2007-2008 school year, Advanced Placement World History and World History had replaced the United States History. AP Human Geography was added to my schedule in 2014. I have participated in the AP World History Reading for six years.
My students would describe my teaching style as enthusiastic. I try to get students involved in the material as much as possible. Although we do take notes and complete normal book assignments, most of their book assignments are done at home so students can participate in activities related to the material during class. This is for both my AP and regular World History classes.
I was selected as the Best New Teacher in my district for the 2007-2008 school year.
I graduated high school in 2001, earned my Bachelor's Degree in History in 2004, and earned my Single Subject Social Science Teaching Credential in 2005. I earned my Master's Degree in World History in December of 2013.
