TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have 10 years experience teaching in high school, but for the past seven years, I have been at the middle school level. What a whacky bunch of kids who make me laugh every day! Currently, I teach with a team of teachers in an integrated classroom, incorporating science and social studies into our lessons through multi-grade classes. What a fulfilling school year working with colleagues with the same students aiming for the same goals.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I try to talk as little as possible, encouraging students to seek out answers for themselves. I also try to be funny, using witty sarcasm whenever possible. I tend to assign projects rather than worksheets, using research, technology, and oftentimes, collaborative learning.
