Thirty six years of teaching experience, including everything from private kindergarten to 18 years in Special Education, and the last ten years in Fifth grade.
I believe that students learn best in a hands on environment, in which they can truly immerse themselves in History. I love to use cooperative and partner work, having students work with a variety of other students, to increase classroom climate and individual empathy.
Selected to participate at Williamsburg and Montpelier in depth studies of US History and the Constitution.
College History classes Selected to participate in four year History grant that included travel to Boston, Philadelphia, New York, and St. Louis to study US History in depth.
Retired teacher with two children and two grandchildren that keep me very busy. My husband and I love to travel, especially if the travel involves furthering our own learning!
