I teach in an urban community with a high population of English Language Learners and a high poverty rate. I use a wide variety of teaching strategies including; Gradual Release of Responsibility, Constructing Meaning, SDAIE, Cornell Notes, Costa's Questions, Gallery Walks, Learning Centers, Reciprocal Teaching, Discussion, Debates, DBQ's, Socratic Seminars, Philosophical Chairs, etc. I am currently a paperless classroom. Most of my resources include both print and digital versions.
