TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My first three years of teaching were in a Title 1 elementary school in a first grade classroom. I then spent a few years working for the Boy Scouts of America. When I returned to teaching, I found myself in the current position of teaching 2nd grade in a charter school.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in the basics and keeping things simple. My lessons are usually teacher-directed in combination with my devotion to the Daily 5 style. I believe in teaching the concept and giving students plenty of time to practice the concept.
