I began teaching as a long-term substitute in Chicago, Illinois in January 2010. Since then I have worked in 5 different schools. I relocated during the summer of 2010 to Phoenix, Arizona. I have been at my current school for the past 4 years and couldn't ask for a better 'fit'.
My classroom incorporates inquiry-based learning. My students guide their own learning through an assortment of hands-on activities, labs, discussions, and research-based projects. I see my role as the facilitator to provide my students with the guidance and support.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Education from Eastern Illinois University in 2009.
I am married to a wonderful man who shares my love of animals. We have 3 dogs and 2 cats.
