TEACHING EXPERIENCE

With 25 years in public education, I understand the increasing demands placed on educators. My resources include cutting-edge, research-driven ideas that require minimal prep and will stand the test of time. In the last 15 years, I’ve presented in over 35 states and two other countries. I’m currently a 2nd grade teacher in Nixa, MO, and I love my job!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I integrate differentiated instruction, brain-based learning, inquiry-based learning, Math with Meaning, and Four-Blocks (Guided Reading, Writer's Workshop, Self-Selected Reading, Working with Words) into my lessons.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Missouri State University with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education, a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Texas-Wesleyan University, and a second Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University.
