This is my 7th year as a teacher in a rural, title1 school. I currently teach 4th grade math, and yearbook for 7th and 8th graders. I have previously taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades. I taught 4th grade science and social studies before switching to math.
I love to get kids up and moving in math class. My goal as a teacher is to love my kiddos and make sure they know if they put in the work something good will come out of it!
I was New Teacher of the Year (teachers who taught less than 5 years) for two years in my district.
I received my Bachelors Degree in Psychology and my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Tennessee. I then went to Lincoln Memorial University, to obtain my Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
I am 29 years old and am newly married to my husband Brent. Any extra time we have is spent working on our new home, with family, or exploring the Smokeys.
