I have a BA from George Fox University, where I majored in piano performance and took the music education track, as well. Besides classical piano, I also play the flute. I have taught private piano, and classroom elementary and junior high music, band, choir and handbells at two private schools. I play flute and piano for my church and enjoy participating on the worship team. At this time, I am teaching full-time adult education at the Oregon Commission for the Blind where I am a Braille and iPhone/android device instructor.
Creativity and motivation are two hallmarks of my teaching style. My young music students, even years later, would tell me that they remembered that Oreos could teach them eighth notes. For students who are ready, I guide them to answers through questioning.

I live in Oregon with my guide dog and two cats. When not teaching, I love arranging and writing music, cooking Asian and Indian food, reading, and knitting.
