TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching 3rd grade for four years but I have also taught preschool, 1st grade, and elementary enrichment.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I try to create activities that provide practice and reinforce already covered skills in an engaging way. Much of my creations are not overwhelming to the eye, which is to say there is not an overabundance of graphics or color used in them, especially if they don't serve a purpose. From a graphic design perspective, I feel that too many graphics and too much color can take away from the objective of the activity and be distracting to students. I make a lot of I have, who has activities and scavenger hunts, as well as independent center activities. I also use interactive bulletin boards in my classroom often.
