TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have a bachelor's degree in education with a specialization in grades 4-8 math. I taught 6th grade math and was constantly trying to find ways to make it relavent to my students. Once it becomes interesting to the students my job becomes much easier!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in helping students understand mathematics. While it may take longer, it is much better than just showing them a method and having them repeat it. With standardized testing becoming so heavily saturated in word problems it requires students to actually decide which method to use, which numbers to use (and which to leave out), and then they must actually do the work.
