TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching high school pre- algebra, algebra and geometry for almost 10 years. We have an awful text book series, so I am constantly making up notes, worksheets and activities for my students to learn the math content they need to know by the time they leave my class. My goal is to provide students with practice that is appropriate and helpful, but has some fun aspects too.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am in some regards a traditional type of teacher with notes and examples presented to students and worksheets done for homework. My students are not very strong math students when they enter my room so there is a lot of hand holding their freshmen year. I do enjoy doing activities a couple times per chapter to take their learning up a notch and challenge them once they have a solid basis of the information.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have my bachelors degree in middle school education with an emphasis in mathematics. I also got my minor in under grad in math as well. I just graduated with my masters degree in administration too.

I love making activities and worksheets for my students. I hope you are able to get as good as results from them as I have!
