I was a dyslexia paraprofessional my last 2 years of college. This gave me the opportunity to work with students at risk for dyslexia in grades 1-5. I have taught 2nd grade since 2007.
My goal as a teacher is to help all students get the most out of their educational experience. I use many strategies as I often must adjust to different situations and unique individual needs. I offer many opportunities for my students to collaborate in hopes that they build knowledge, develop problem-solving skills and communication skills. I hope to instill a love for reading as I help set up an important foundation in my students' education.
