I started teaching at Greenwood Middle School in Greenwood, Indiana. I had a wonderful experience teaching 6,7,&8th grade FACS. I had a super mentor teacher that I adored because we were a team and she taught me so many wonderful things. After that I ended up in Milan, Missouri where I taught for one year. I taught FACS 9. Consumer Education, Senior foods, Sewing Basics, and Child Development. The following year I was able to move closer to my family and found a job at Waynesville High School in Waynesville, Missouri. I have been in Waynesville now for 14 years. I love teaching at Waynesville. Due to Fort Lenard Wood we have a very diverse population and students have been all over the world. I taught Nutrition and Welles and World Cultures and Foods for 11 years before switching to Child Development. And I have always taught FACS 9. Our Child Development class second semester applies our knowledge learned in first semester and runs a preschool. It is an awesome experience for all! Love it!
I have a mixed teaching style. I like to add a variety of activities into my classroom. I really enjoy trying to reach all learning types.
