Teaching has been my passion for 35 years in the states of New Hampshire and Florida. My experience includes grades 2, 4, 5, and Gifted. I have a masters degree + in curriculum and National Board Certification. I had the opportunity to work in an inner city school, but for the most part I've taught in rural communities.
I love to create integrated units that motivate students and include several learning styles as well as differing abilities. I believe there should be a balance between cooperative learning and working independently throughout the learning experience. My goal for my students is that they become life-long learners.
National Board Certified (Middle Childhood Generalist)
B.S. degree from Keene State College; M.Ed. from Saint Anselm's College
I usually use text books and reading programs as a resource since I prefer creating my own units of study. At present I am making some revisions so that my materials align more to the Common Core and continue to fine tune all that I do since I will never cease learning.
