I am in my thirteenth year of teaching in the Grafton school district. Besides teaching, I am the founder and curriculum director of Port Washington Safety Town which is a summer safety program for young children. I have also become very involved in provided staff development and training in my district.

Past positions include president and founder of Junior Womens Club, Lincoln Elementary School Parent Group President, Director of Housing, Wellness Coordinator and Human Issues Educator at Edgewood College.
I recently completed a one week seminar on the Readers Workshop at Columbia Teacher's College in New York. What a thrill! I have a Master's Degree in Instructional Technology through Cardinal Stritch University. From the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, I have a major in Communications and Elementary Education and double minors in Art and Psychology. I have a technical school diploma in Graphic Design from Lowithian Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
I have enjoyed designing and developing curriculum for such publications as the Teachers'Helper magazine, Totline Newsletter, and Ceramics Magazine. I am a lover of the "great outdoors" enjoying bird-watching, hiking, golfing and gardening. I am an artist and enjoy working in watercolors and acrylics. My two grown children have recently entered the working world and I am very proud of them!
