This will be my 5th year as a classroom teacher. Upon college graduation, I have been a substitute teacher, a kindergarten teacher, and a sixth grade teacher. I've been in the middle school setting teaching sixth grade Social Studies (Ancient World History) and Literature and Composition (Reading) for the past 4 years and love it! The past two years I have also been my school's cheerleading coach, with a squad comprising of sixth-eighth graders. Go team!
My teaching style is very flexible! I make it a point to tune in to the different learning styles in each of my classrooms and present each lesson accordingly. What may work one hour, might not work the next, and that's okay! I try to give every opportunity for my students to succeed, even if it means making a fool out of myself so they'll remember something. Making them laugh is my favorite!
