Zapping Zeros gives students all the extra practice they need subtracting across zeros with numbers through the ten thousands place in a fun, competitive, and addicting game.
After solving the subtraction problems correctly, students draw a point value card. Watch out!! Mixed in with points cards, are ZAP cards. If a student draws a ZAP card, all their points get ZAPPED and they are back to zero. It’s anyone’s game.

My teaching style is hands-on, movement-based, and designed to promote deep thinking. I value collaboration as much as independent problem-solving, giving students opportunities to learn with others while also building confidence in their own ideas.
I enjoy taking on new challenges and encouraging my students to do the same. In my classroom and library, mistakes are viewed as a natural and valuable part of learning. I strive to create an environment filled with creativity, engagement, laughter, and meaningful learning experiences. After all, learning is just one big HOOPLA!
