I spent my first three years teaching 4th grade Math and Science. My classroom included GT, ESL and inclusion students. Differentiation quickly became my focus! I spent my 4th year teaching 2nd grade self-contained, which I loved! It was fun to spend a year in a primary grade level. I just completed my 5th year of teaching and am back where I love...4th grade Math and Science!
My classroom is organized and busy! My students always have something to work on that will keep them engaged and learning even after the lesson plan work is completed! I use stations daily and have tried many different ways to organize those. My students love Math and Science and leave with a passion for discovery!
I was awarded the ESL Teacher of the Year award in 2013-2014 for my campus and my school district.
I am a Texas Longhorn! I graduated from The University of Texas in 2000! I earned my Liberal Arts degree and worked part time in real estate while I raised my 2 beautiful babies. I earned my teaching certificate in that time as well. When my oldest child started Kinder, I started teaching!
