After graduating from college, I initially taught psychology at the college level. I then taught children with behavioral disorders for a few years. Since then, I have taught regular, gifted, and early intervention (grades K - 5) at the elementary level and I love it!!
I try to promote critical and creative thinking in all of my teaching. This is often achieved by incorporating fun and challenging activities into my lesson plans. I believe by teaching our students to be better problem solvers today, they will be better prepared to solve the problems of the world tomorrow.
Nominated twice for Teacher of the Year, An essay winner in a contest that awarded a Smart Board to our classroom, Presenter at both GAGC and NAGC Conferences

I have a terrific husband and 2 wonderful kids. I love and appreciate all of them! My teaching endeavors have always involved the whole family whether it was the kids staying late with me up at the school or my husband building me that perfect shelf to use in my classroom. Thank you so much for always supporting me!!!
