TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a therapist who has 10 years of experience working with youth ages two to nineteen with mental health diagnosis. I am currently licensed as an LICSW. I have experience in residential settings, day treatment, an extended day treatment, outpatient therapy, therapy in home therapy and school based therapy. I am also an adoptive parent of two teenagers. This experience has helped me better understand at risk children and how to creatively help them get their needs met. I work with children with anxiety, adhd, depression, trauma, ASD and family change, along with adoption and children in foster care.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I want to create therapeutic interventions that both a child and the adult will be excited to do! I strive to create interventions that are narrative, CBT or experiential. I am passionate about finding and creating resources and activities that teach skills to kids at an age appropriate level. I enjoy teaching children in a hands on manner and through activities and role plays.
