Currently, I am an instructional coach of ELA and social studies at two intermediate schools in League City, TX. Prior to being an instructional coach, I taught and coached athletics for five years at Bayside Intermediate. I have taught 6th and 7th grade ELA and also taught 8th grade ELA in summer school. Throughout my career, I have also assisted in developing the curriculum for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade ELA, and provided professional development for fellow educators.
I have always felt that collaboration and sharing with our students creates an environment that is conducive to growth for all. Modeling is crucial in developing learners and being open to discussion throughout a lesson. My teaching style was loose but directed toward a common class goal. We were a team.

I enjoy learning and teaching whether it is reading, writing, or connecting present issues to events of the past. I became a teacher because it allowed me the opportunity to create something new every day.
