TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Greetings, fellow counselors and teachers! I have worked in education for 17+ years covering K-12, community college, and 4-year universities. I am currently a community college counselor and professor in California. I love what I do! We can do better together to help students dream beyond K-12. The wildest grade I taught was Kinder as a Substitute Teacher!

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is fun, interactive, engaging, and honest! Currently, as a community college counselor, I also teach college success courses at a community college. My students range from 17 years old and beyond, sometimes older than myself. I want them to feel like they belong and that it is never too late or too early to achieve the life they always wanted.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

My proudest moments are watching my students receive diplomas, certificates, and degrees. Seeing my students achieve their goals while helping them overcome tremendous challenges is the truest honor.

Bachelor's Degree in Communications and Sociology - emphasis in Social Services. Master of Science degree in Educational Counseling.
