My experiences includes work as a substitute teacher for Philadelphia public and Charter schools.
My teaching style is a culturally responsive and differentiated pedagogy, focusing on the the interest of today's youth. I utilize their interest to teach vocabulary for improvement of their reading comprehension skills.

I have a Bachelors degree in history and psychology from Lehigh University. I am currently completing my M.Ed. for curriculum and instruction at Ashford University.
My father Khaliq Al-Shabazz was an activist from Easton, PA. He was the original founder of Color Me and Learn books which focused on educating youth on black history. I am the first of his eight surviving children and predecessor of his legacy.
