I have taught reading in grades 1st through sixth grade for three years, and taught sixth grade for 1 year.
My style of teaching is creating a love for reading for all my students! I have every type of reading material available for the students who hate "to read" books. I use newspapers, magazines, articles, internet, chapter books, on-line books, and etc. to entice students to read. If you make reading fun, children will enjoy reading. I use microphones, Photoshop, Ipods, Podcasts to get students to read aloud. They love it! Implementing Readers Theatre is a plus!

My family consists of my husband, Lance; two sons, Joshua and Jerrod; two daughters, Kristine and Brynnan. In my spare time, I read, read, and read. I also love to travel especially to Seattle to visit my sister who teaches sixth grade. I have ran four marathons and have a passion in playing golf. My wish is to travel to other countries to teach.
