In this activity, students match 10 different piecewise functions to the graph of that function. 8 of the 10 functions have 3 pieces while the other 2 have only 2 pieces. Try evaluating piecewise functions graphically or algebraically before this

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught all levels of math, from 8th grade Algebra 1 through AP Calculus. I love teaching and I love making math more fun for my students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like project based learning and problem solving in general. I am sarcastic, I don't give out answers, and I don't usually tell my students if they are right or wrong, I like them to figure that part out for themselves.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Math for America - Master Teaching Fellow - Berkeley Chapter.

National Board Certified Mathematics - Adolescents and Young Adults

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

BS - University of Massachusetts - 2002 (Resource Economics, minor - Math)
