TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Christopher Conner has taught English in Japan and Taiwan for six years and 7th and 8th grade social studies for three years at St. Michael School in Indianapolis, Indiana. He currently teaches Japanese language at Bluegrass Community and Technical College in Kentucky. Matthew Conner has taught for 25 years at the college level at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the University of Minnesota, and the University of California-Davis. His courses include introductory composition and introductory and advanced topics courses in literature. He has also taught a fully online composition course as well as provided instruction on library databases and bibliographic managers. He is currently a librarian at the University of California, Davis, and his book on the future of libraries in the Information Age, The New Library: Seven Trends, Four Case Studies, is forthcoming from the American Library Association (ALA). Between them, the authors have decades of teaching experience at the secondary and college levels with a wide variety of students.

Christopher Conner has a bachelor’s degree with a double-major in history and journalism as well as a master’s in education from Indiana University. Matthew Conner has a bachelor’s in English from Princeton University, a master’s and a Ph.D. in English and a master’s in library science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
