TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have 11 years teaching experience in Social Studies. I have taught American History I (War of 1812 - WWII) and II (Cold War - Present), World History (China, Japan, India, Latin America, Africa, USSR/Russia and the Middle East), American Government, and Career Education. I also have 3 years experience as an Instructional Coach where I develop lessons and activities for Career Education, I Co-teach in classrooms, I support teachers during lesson activities and assist in Professional Development.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am all about cooperative learning. I love seeing students work together and learn from each other. I believe it is more powerful to teach students to become problem solvers who can find their own answers by working together than simply giving them all the answers. I love using technology in the classroom and having students interact with each other as well as other classes.
