I am a dual language teacher in upstate New York. Spanish is my passion. I spent half a year living in Mexico during college and just couldn't say goodbye to my love of language. I therefore, made my passion my career. I started out by teaching ESOL to adult migrant workers. I then spent half a year teaching bilingual 4th grade, followed by 3 years of bilingual 2nd grade, and I am now in my third year exploring bilingual 5th grade. I LOVE my job, even on the toughest days! :-)
I teach all subject areas in both English and Spanish.
I got my Bachelor's degree in childhood/special education and received my Master's degree in Bilingual/ Multicultural Education. I currently hold NYS teaching certificates in Childhood Education; Birth-Grade 6, Students with Disabilities; Birth-Grade 6, Bilingual Education; Birth-Grade 6, and Spanish; Grades 7-12.
In my spare time I love to exercise, take my dog on hikes, and read a good book!
