My first teaching experience was ESL tutoring to adults and children. Years later I pursed a degree in Elementary Education, I student taught in first grade and later was hired as a 5th grade teacher.
I believe in academic growth over proficiency. When teaching 5th grade I used first to sixth grade resources to meet my students needs. Differentiation is a big part of my lesson plans.

My first Master degree is in International Law and my second is in Elementary Education. What I learned from my International Law studies was that education is the foundation of everything, if you want to impact change you need to start with educating our youth.
I had been teaching 5th grade for three years when I decided to accept an adventure of teaching abroad. Unfortunately, literally at the last minute everything feel through and I found myself without a job but with many self-created Common Core resources. I am now using this time to do what I thought I did not have time to do while teaching in the classroom- creating new resources that I wish I had and modifying resources that I created and used.
