I enjoy taking students through standards-based instruction using the gradual release model. However, I am not one for scripted curricula. I prefer to gather my own resources and texts to fit around social studies or science themes to promote higher learning. I also value and incorporate student interests when planning my instruction and utilizing project based instruction.
Presented multiple times at a Teachers Teaching Teachers conference on topics related to math and literacy instruction.
