We are co-teachers in a Science general education and gifted. We are both veteran teachers who are passionate about teaching students to love Science.
Lesson Plans are based on the Constructivist Theory (students construct their own understanding of the world through hands-on experiences and reflecting. The teacher serves as a facilitator and creates new understandings through coaching, moderating, suggesting and questioning. These lessons will enable students to: • be active participants in the learning process • construct knowledge from experience • learn through personal interpretation of the world • problem solve • use authentic tasks, experiences, settings, and assessments • learn holistically • learn based on individual needs (differentiation)
We hold Science leadership positions at the school level as well as within the district. We train and mentor teachers in Science instruction. Multiple nominations for excellence in Science and Technology.
Between the two of us we have extensive Unversity background in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, as well as Elementary Education and Leadership.
