Courtney Line

I am currently preparing for my 8th year of teaching elementary school. This age group brings so much joy to days in the classroom. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Louisville and completed my Master's Degree in School Counseling.

The most important thing about teaching to me is developing relationships with my students. I want each child who walks into my classroom to know that they are cared for and that their teacher is someone they can trust. Building these positive relationships with students opens the door to active learning. I believe it is my job to facilitate the learning as students take control. I do my best to teach my students responsibility and self-sufficiency. Many kids have come to my class with a negative stigma about school and learning in general. My job is to create a love of learning and help them fall in love with being at school.
