I was in a classroom for over 13 years. My time was spent working mostly in the after-school program. The program is unique in that we bring together students from all grades and multiple schools. We strive to support everything students learn in the classroom by providing supplemental learning opportunities. We have students who stay with the program from Kindergarten to Sixth Grade. We like to keep things fresh for everyone, so I have had to come up with many activities and craft projects to fit a variety of themes. Working as a para-teacher in a Kindergarten classroom was very rewarding, and gave me the opportunity to put an educational spin on my crafts. I am excited to be a part of this community and I hope to provide teachers with child-tested, fun projects to use in the classroom!
By teaching students how to learn for themselves, you give them the tools they need to become successful not just in school, but in life. I always ask thought provoking questions and teach students to find the answers, rather than just telling them.

My educational background is mostly in art and anthropology. I believe this helps me to be successful because, helping someone who is struggling to learn requires creativity and understanding.
I'm a crafter at heart, and I spent many years prepping activities for teachers. I bring that knowledge to my store. I have lead large groups of K-6 students through hundreds of projects. I know what works and what doesn't with each age group; and how to make prepping quick and easy.
