I have a variety of experience in elementary, teaching regular education, as well as remedial reading and math.
I prefer using hands-on materials because I am a visual learner. I like getting kids up and moving so they can have fun while learning. I am committed to integrating social studies and science into my reading curriculum in order to teach all of the subjects in a school day. I really enjoy teaching thematic units that are rigorous and interesting to my students.
Teacher of the Year 2003-2004 Newbie of the Year 2002-2003
I'm a Knight! Graduated from UCF.
I'm a mother of 3 who really enjoys working with children. I have a passion for teaching reading after having been a struggling reader as a child. My daughter came up with the name Crafty Pup for her store that she plays with her sisters. I loved it so much, I used it for mine!
