I have nine years experience teaching bilingual education in an Elementary setting. I have also taught Adult ESL classes. I teach in a school with 92% poverty and have taught/tutored all grade levels.
All students have the ability to learn and I believe that students learn best by doing, creating and playing. By engaging students and giving them clear guidelines for a finished product they always rise to the occasion and go above and beyond. (Even the PreK kiddos!)
I have been the recipient of several Teacher of the year/Teacher of the month awards, mentor teacher of the year and other school awards.
I have a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Psychology, a master's certification in teaching and am pursuing a master's degree in Elementary Administration.
